DAY ONE Windhoek
Windhoek Street Market
Transfer on arrival at Windhoek International Airport to a city hotel. Balance of the morning at leisure to discover the city and visit for example, the Post Mall open-air craft market in the city centre. Afternoon tour with visits to the Tintenpalast, historic seat of government and the suburbs.
DAY TWO Windhoek to Sossusvlei
Depart after breakfast by road to Sossusvlei in the heart of the Namib desert. The Namib is one of the oldest deserts in the world and home to unique fauna and flora. Afternoon nature drive.
DAY THREE Sossusvlei
Sossusvlei's dried out pans
Depart before sunrise to the dune area of Sossusvlei, a dried out clay basin, surrounded by some of the highest dunes in the world. The pan fills with water in the rainy season attracting birds, oryx, springbok and ostrich.
DAY FOUR Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
Swakopmund's Schutztruppe Barracks
Depart after breakfast for Swakopmund, Namibia's most popular coastal resort. Afternoon at leisure for relaxation on the beach or a self guided walking tour of the town with its many turn of the century buildings depicting Swakopmund's German colonial past.
DAY FIVE Swakopmund
Giant Welwitschia Mirabilis Plant
Breakfast in the hotel before departing on a full day desert tour which will include visits to the Moon Landscape, the oasis at Goanikontes, the unique Welwitschia Mirabilis plants and Walvis Bay. Picnic lunch en route.
DAY SIX Swakopmund to Khorixas
En route to Hentjes Bay
Depart after breakfast via Henties Bay to Khorixas with picnic lunch en route.
DAY SEVEN Khorixas
A full day of sightseeing, visiting the Petrified Forest, Burnt Mountain and the rock paintings at Twyfelfontein. Picnic lunch en route.
DAY EIGHT Khorixas to Etosha National Park
Etosha National Park - Giraffe
Breakfast at Khorixas before departing for Etosha National Park. Lunch on arrival followed by a late afternoon game drive.
