Botswana, a land locked country with a population of about 1.7 million, is home to many unique species of bird life and wild game and is one of Africa's last unspoiled wildernesses. The country is dominated by the Okavango Delta, with its crystal clear channels, lagoons and hundreds of small islands.Zimbabwe, another land locked country with a population of about 10 million, is a "never to be forgotten destination". Bordered in the North by Lake Kariba and the mighty Zambezi River, and home to the Victoria Falls. Lake Kariba, a man-made lake provides a natural sanctuary for game and bird life.
DAY ONE Maun to Okavango Delta
Okavango Delta Floodplains
Arrival in Maun, Botswana. Depart by light aircraft (single engine, 5 seater) to the Okavango Delta. The delta environment has large animal populations such as the Nile crocodile, red lechwe antelope, elephant, wild dogs, buffalo, wattled crane as well as the other more common mammals and bird life.
Lunch on arrival followed by late afternoon water activities.

DAY TWO Okavango Delta
Mokoro
A full day in the Okavango Delta with an early morning and late afternoon makoro (dug out canoe) ride.
A makoro is a canoe carved within a large a tree and its main use is to carry tourist through the Okavango Delta channels and waterways. Its a means of transport commonly used by the local people of the Bavei tribe who occupy the Okavango area.
You will be guided by the polers who are the local people well versed, using a wooden pole of about 3 meters long to simply steer as well as navigate the wooden canoe through the Okavango Delta.

DAY THREE Okavango Delta to Chobe

Breakfast at the lodge before departing by light aircraft to Kasane. Met on arrival for transfer to Chobe Lodge.
Chobe National Park is home to more than 35 000 elephants, lion, buffalo, sable, leopard, roan antelope and hippo.
Late afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park, returning at sunset for dinner.

Boat Game Viewing
A full day at Chobe with the choice of two of the following safari activities.
These include the options of an exciting game drive in an open 4X4 vehicle, a sunset river cruise to witness the stunning african sunsets, or the thrill of game viewing from a small boat.

Breakfast in the hotel before departing on a guided walking tour of the falls. Described as ‘the Smoke that Thunders’, Victoria Falls are a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River
Afternoon at leisure where you are free to explore the town and visit the craft markets.

Transfer after breakfast to the Victoria Falls Airport for onward flight.
