The Valley of Waves The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon, a 6 500-square metre (7560-square yards) wave pool with a palm-fringed beach. Hydraulic mechanisms can generate a 1,8 metre (6 feet 8 inches) wave every 90 seconds. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern. WaterworldLocated at the Sun City Cabanas, Waterworld offers a full range of watersports including sunset cruises, jet skis,parasailing, pedalos, paddleskis, waterskiing, rubber ducks, mini-boats, cruiser, tubes and a wake snake.Open seven days a week. Kwena Gardensopen daily - is home to over 300 Nile crocodiles and is located just inside the main entrance of Sun City. Feeding time: 16h30 - Hours: 10h00 - 18h00
The Entertainment Centre Visitors can find the latest in entertainment and gaming in the Entertainment Centre, plus a wide range of fast food outlets, restaurants and children’s facilities. These range from a variety of restaurants, a kiddies games arcade, to Slots floors and the Superbowl which boasts performances by world famous artists. Tennis CourtsSituated below The Cascades and open daily. Eleven tennis courts, five of which are floodlit. Coaching is available from the resident tennis professional. Tennis pro shop and refreshments at the tennis club. Hours: 07h00 -18h00
Welcome Centre Situated at the entrance to the Entertainment Centre, the sole function of the Welcome Centre is to meet the needs of every visitor to the Resort. It is a one-stop shop offering services ranging from booking and confirming bus tickets, flights, car hire, game drives and other adventure activities. Computicket, a branch of the online booking service, is available at the Welcome Centre for theatre, cinema and concerts tickets, both in the Sun City Superbowl and all major centres in Southern Africa.
Game Trackers The Game trackers desk is located in the Welcome Centre. All park related activities take place in the 55,000 hectare, malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park. The park has a wide variety of African wildlife including the Big Five – lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard – and borders the north eastern end of the Resort. Game trackers offer a variety of activities which include:
Game Drives (Day and night game drives can be booked, with private game drive vehicles available for groups.)Enjoy open landrover drives - night and day - as well as balloon safaris in the Pilanesberg National Park, which is adjacent to Sun City.
Hot-air Balloon flights -
Hot Air Balloon Safaris are offered every morning, depending on the weather and number of passengers. Guest are collected at their hotel and are taken into the park to rendezvous with the balloon crew. The flight is approximately an hour in duration and on landing sparkling wine is served. A leisurely game drive is then taken through the park to a game lodge where breakfast is served, after which guest are returned to their hotel. Flights are early in the morning and you will need to allow some 4 hours for the full activity which includes the following: * Early morning collection from your hotel by safari vehicle. * Launch of the balloon from the centre of Pilanesberg National Park * An hour drifting serenely over the Park * A sparkling wine celebration on landing, a time-honoured tradition in ballooning * A Full English breakfast at a Game Lodge * A First Flight certificate signed by your Pilot * Return transfer to your hotel Duration: 1hr flight, +/- 4 hrs in total
Elephant Interaction
Elephant Back Safaris -
Pick up from the Gametrackers Outdoor Adventures desk located at the Welcome Centre. Transfer to “The Elephant Wallow” will be approximately 20 minutes through the Letsatsing Game Reserve giving guests an opportunity to view game along the way. On arrival, welcome drinks are served and guests are given an introductory talk and introduced to the elephants and their handlers. The elephants are then saddled and the safari commences. After approximately an hour on elephant back guests return to “The Elephant Wallow” for light snacks. Guests are returned to the Welcome Centre, Sun City. DURATION: approximately 2-3 hours

Quad Bikes are rough and ready vehicles that excel at tackling hard terrain and the bushveld. They handle the arid and volcanic landscape of the Pilanesberg and allow adventurers to explore hidden crevices and ravines that are inaccessible on foot. The adventure trail takes about an hour and a highly skilled guide conducts the trail through Letsatsing Game Park with the possibility of seeing Rhino, Giraffe and other animal species on route. Internationally accepted safety standards apply and no previous experience is needed as instruction in handling the vehicle forms part of the package. The adventure is not available to anyone under 16.
Horse Riding - Horse riding takes place in a small section of a Private Game Park. Lessons with resident trainer, trails and lead rides, for experienced as well as beginner riders. Open seven days a week. - Hours: 09h00-12h00
Kwena Gardens Crocodile Sanctuary - A large, scenic crocodile sanctuary situated at the entrance of Sun City and is home to over 7000 crocs including the two largest captive Nile crocodiles in the world. Feeding shows daily at 16h30. Coffee Shop and Curio Shop is also available.
The Village People Cultural Experience Arts & Crafts Centre - Different cultures and tribes of Southern Africa, highlighting the day-to-day living in a rural area through song, dance, identifying varieties of traditional dress and sampling the traditional food. Traditional Arts and Crafts made on site and sold in the Curio Shop. The Cultural Village presents "IZIZWE" - an African showcase. Segway - Is a fun riding machine. The Segway Safari is a customised guided tour of Sun City’s gardens and world famous golf courses. Imagine effortlessly gliding along laid out trails next to the African bush, observing and enjoying the variety of attractions. No experience is necessary. Segway is located next to the tennis courts behind The Cascades swimming pool.

The Golf Courses The Gary Player Golf Course The Gary Player Golf Course needs no introduction, this world renown course was designed by Gary Player, and is the home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, an annual golf tournament with total prize money of US $4 385 000. This is an 18 hole, par 72 walking course, with a 5km running trail along the course. The Gary Player Country Club overlooks this magnificent golf course and incorporates a Pro Shop, a health spa and gymnasium, two squash courts and a spinning studio. At the health spa you can indulge in hair and beauty treatments, hydro bath, Vichy Shower, spa-pool and steam room. The fully equipped gym also offers personal trainers. The Lost City Golf Course The Lost City Golf Course was also designed by famed South African golfing figure, Gary Player. This spectacular par-72 course is a cart course, complete with a state-of-the-art clubhouse, and is a short stroll from The Palace of the Lost City. It features a water hazard of 20 live Nile crocodiles on the 13th hole and offers facilities such as a driving range, and a golf Pro Shop.
